There is something so therapeutic about the process of creating art, isn’t there?  That’s why I love to MAKE STUFF!  Even though you can just go out and buy a greeting card, it’s not the same as admiring a handmade one!  My art has a simple and modern style to it – classic and timeless paintings, home decor items, mini scrapbooking albums, and greeting cards make lovely holiday gifts for anyone (family, friends, even coworkers).  I just love to create things…I don’t do it to make a profit, I just do it for fun; so you’ll find that my items are particularly affordable.  As they say in the scrappin’ world: TFL (thanks for looking!)

Come and check out all of Erica’s GREAT cards and crafts!  Something for everyone on your Christmas list!

I’ve dabbled in art all my life and done commission work over the years for signage, silk-screen work, stained glass and pottery.  I’ve been an avid scrapbooker for 15 years and love to create with pattern and color, and do illustrate as well.   I have belonged to Art Guilds in the past and have my own unique scrapbooking style … mostly because I see pattern in everything … photos, nature, you name it.  I love working with color … have an odd eye for mixing colors most people wouldn’t.  I’ve also been a costumer over the years and even though I can’t sew a thing, I can see a creation in an old dress or coat, and can alter it to what I want … and again, use the oddest color and pattern combinations.  I never waste a piece of material or paper … I keep everything and always find a use for it … I recycle paper ‘junque’, even using envelopes and junk mail to create some of my cards … have a very hard time seeing beautiful things go to waste so I ‘rescue’ material of all kinds.  People often save their ‘beautiful junque’ for me cuz they know I’ll find something to do with it.  I also have a thing for making folded paper boxes.  I know I was always a favorite mom cuz I always had great crafts to teach the neighborhood kids and now work with my grandkids all the time … and with kids at the schools I’ve worked at.

Jackie’s cards use the techniques of iris folding and spirelli.  Below are a few photos.

Can you ever have too much Jewellery?  I don’t think so.  My name is Carol Willms.  I am retired and living in the beautiful city of Victoria, BC.  I have had a lifelong love for jewellery.  I create original jewellery designs using only my fingers and small hand tools.  No machinery, soldering, chemicals, or other high-tech stuff is involved.  My jewellery is good quality and made to last.  No two pieces are alike.

When I was a little girl, my grandmother introduced me to the world of crafts – and since then, I’ve never looked back!  I love all kinds of crafts and have done a variety of different things over the years.  Scrapbooking, rubber stamping and paper crafting are very high on my list of loves!  But about 7 years ago I discovered another craft.  I found that painting on glassware could result in some beautiful “stained glass” looking pieces – especially when lit up by a candle!  And so a new hobby was born.  I love to experiment with color and with texture and each candleholder has it’s own unique look.  But the one thing they all have in common is that they sparkle, which is why they are called Sparklers!

These are beautiful and you really need to come in and check them out!

Tammy Murdock!  Tammy is a new addition to the Scrapbook Parade Team and has brought in some amazing scrapbooking pages, minibooks, cards and more!  I copied and pasted the blurb on the website below…

Tammy is an artist and scrapbooker who has been tutoring and teaching scrapbooking since 2000.  She has  designed mini-books, layouts, and kits for several stores.  Her latest passion (after shopping for scrapbooking supplies) is designing unique cards and mini-books.  She also runs Embellish Studios professional photography and custom scrapbooking.  Her photography can be found in several magazines, newspapers, websites, books, on CD covers and brochures, and in clients’ scrapbooks (especially albums of weddings at the beach).  Tammy is also fortunate to be blessed with two scrapboking teenagers and a scrapping-supportive husband who runs her website, doesn’t ask why she needs yet another Copic marker, and sometimes even suggests supplies for her. Tammy style is eclectic; she loves coming up with and using new techniques.

Over 40 12 x 12 layouts!  Tons of cards, mini matchboxes and mini albums too!

Lara Bowditch:

I am a mad scrapper and quilter whose hobbies are slowly encroaching on every room in the house, hence selling my goods at Carol’s place.  I find both hobbies are great ways to be creative and provide a bit of “scrap therapy”.

Fun advent calendar with shapes you button on each day.  A must see!

Lynn Hamilton

Here is our first “Consignor” at Scrapbook Parade.  If you haven’t read about the “Consignment Crafts” here is the link http://scrapbookparade.wordpress.com/2009/09/14/consignment-crafts/

We have more Consignors and will post each one as they bring in their crafts.  Here is your chance to showcase your talent!

I LOVE what she’s brought in.  Come and get some Christmas shopping done!

I asked Lynn to do up a blurb about herself and here it is…

My name is Lynn Hamilton.

I am married, have an 11 year old daughter and am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom.  About 2 years after my daughter was born I began scrapbooking.  I have a wonderful husband that is very supportive of my hobby.  So much so that he built me my own room for it.  I also enjoy making jewelry and am able to combine the two hobbies.  I enjoy using recycled scrabble tiles to make bracelet charms and pendants for necklaces.  I also use glass tiles, acrylic Tim Holtz fragments and small dominoes.
