This afternoon…

…I came to the store to find the workshop moved to the front of the store!  Elizajane and Lana moved the whole store last night.  I understand Jacquelin and Joyce were part of the plan too!!!  When the boss is away the staff will play eh?!

It looks GREAT and tonight the girls that were cropping seemed to think it was an excellent move.  There is still some work to do putting everything back in place but I think everyone will like the “new” layout.  We have a section in the back of the store now where we have clearance products that start at 50% OFF up to 75% OFF.  Come and get yourself some good deals!

There is something so therapeutic about the process of creating art, isn’t there?  That’s why I love to MAKE STUFF!  Even though you can just go out and buy a greeting card, it’s not the same as admiring a handmade one!  My art has a simple and modern style to it – classic and timeless paintings, home decor items, mini scrapbooking albums, and greeting cards make lovely holiday gifts for anyone (family, friends, even coworkers).  I just love to create things…I don’t do it to make a profit, I just do it for fun; so you’ll find that my items are particularly affordable.  As they say in the scrappin’ world: TFL (thanks for looking!)

Come and check out all of Erica’s GREAT cards and crafts!  Something for everyone on your Christmas list!

Jackie Martin

I’ve dabbled in art all my life and done commission work over the years for signage, silk-screen work, stained glass and pottery.  I’ve been an avid scrapbooker for 15 years and love to create with pattern and color, and do illustrate as well.   I have belonged to Art Guilds in the past and have my own unique scrapbooking style … mostly because I see pattern in everything … photos, nature, you name it.  I love working with color … have an odd eye for mixing colors most people wouldn’t.  I’ve also been a costumer over the years and even though I can’t sew a thing, I can see a creation in an old dress or coat, and can alter it to what I want … and again, use the oddest color and pattern combinations.  I never waste a piece of material or paper … I keep everything and always find a use for it … I recycle paper ‘junque’, even using envelopes and junk mail to create some of my cards … have a very hard time seeing beautiful things go to waste so I ‘rescue’ material of all kinds.  People often save their ‘beautiful junque’ for me cuz they know I’ll find something to do with it.  I also have a thing for making folded paper boxes.  I know I was always a favorite mom cuz I always had great crafts to teach the neighborhood kids and now work with my grandkids all the time … and with kids at the schools I’ve worked at.

Jackie’s cards use the techniques of iris folding and spirelli.  Below are a few photos.
